About the Duckpond - quick
questions, quick answers.
1. Is there a face behind the lens?
The "I" behind Duckpond Photography is John Jameson, who founded the group in the spring of 2004.
My style is, in a word, photojournalistic: heavily candid,
warm, flattering and
immediate.
Much of my client base is centered around Princeton, New Jersey, as the University Office of Communications (see recent work here) contracts much of my available time.
When not shooting for the University, I regularly work with local individuals, news organizations, and religious groups.
In the interest of growing the Duckpond, I frequently work with two other local photographers -- Celene
Chang and Jason Murphy -- both of whose work I recommend quite highly.

2. So...I'm a
student/religious group/service organization...
Will you lower your fees for me?
The simple answer is: maybe. I regularly
provide significant discounts to religious groups and
student organizations, and have been known to donate free services to groups or individuals with
especially interesting causes or special needs. If your budget is tight, don't be afraid to ask.

3. I'm shopping for my mother/girlfriend/pet/self. Can you recommend a
camera/lens for me?
Sure. Give me a holler, and take the time to check out sites like
The Imaging Resource and Digital Photography Review.
4. I saw a picture I loved on
your site. Can I have a copy?
Probably. Ask!
5. Can I use one of your images on my own
site?
If it's for a
personal, transient/temporary web journal (xanga/blog), then you are welcome
to use any of my images freely, without asking permission, so
long as you credit me as the photographer (preferably with
a link back to the page from which you lifted it). Any other use requires permission, and fees may apply.
6. That's nice...but it didn't
answer my question.
See contact
page.
